poppin up a cb-1

i'm wonderin if anyone has ever stood up a cb-1 and, if so, how?
mine seems real front heavy and i know it's short on power & torque. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I think i've found my new favorite site. Keep stuntin til the wheels fall off!

A CB1000? Like the 'ol 70's/80's special? I THINK it can be done.......I was able to get the wheel up pretty good on a 79 CB750L, so if that hunka junk can do it, the 1000 should too.

well, on my 750L, which was DEFINITLY down on torque, I used to go about 25mph and sit half way onto the "passenger" part of the seat. Then I would shut off the throttle and give the bars a shove forward at the same time. Then quikly crack the throttle wide open as the springs came back up. All this has to be done in one smooth motion. It got that overweight under powered dinosaur up pretty well. But now that I clutch my wheelies, I belive that if you go about 15 to 20mph on that thing, slip the clutch with your index finger let the rpms rise for a sec, (dont redline), and let it out super quik but not dumping, it sould do it. Be sure to give it a LOT of gas when you let the clutch re engage and stay on the throttle till you hit balance and then use the rear to stabalize. Just cover the brake keep your arms strait and practice like a ****. You can do it!

LOL! No, I knew what ya meant. That old CB would come up kinda slow, REAL SLOW, until it got close to balance and then it would start to come up SUPER quik. On your 400, which is probly a LOT lighter than my old 750, it will probly come up pretty quik so cover that rear brake and be careful! It was a good 'ol bike though, that 750 lol. Im stuntin a cbr600F4 now.................got some okay pics of it in my photo gallery hehe........

Hope this helps!

I don't know about a 89 motor, but I had a 1998 CBR400RR and I could get it up easily with the clutch in first and second gear, that bike was lovely people alaways doubted it because it was a 400, but you can get it up, if you cant cuz its heavy stand on the back pegs
