wheelies on a kat
wheelies on a kat
I got my stoppies down pretty good, I can skitch, but I'm really havin trouble gettin the front of this heavy f#cker up in the air. I got new sprocket ( 1 down in the front) comin in on wdenesday. Is that a good start and how many should I go down in the back. Sometimes I can bounce it up in the front but only like a foot or two and can't keep it up. I try clutchin it up and sometimes I get about the same results and sometimes the as$ just slides and it takes off.
I know y'all are gonna say get a new bike but I really wanna do it on this and you'll previous kat owners have proved it possible.

start with one down in the front, play with that for a while, if its not enough then go up 2 in the rear. Any more and your gonna have to buy a new chain. My friend has a 97 kat and he said he had to buy a better back tire because the stock brand tire suck ***.
this is f#cked up, all of y'all's name is eric and so is mine.but I'm runnin michelin pilot sport racing tires. The guy that works on my bike says my back tire is too wide so I'm in the process of burning it down to nothing right now.I planned on getting a new chain too here soon.Somebody told me that factory kats don't have a connection link and that you have to cut the chain to get it off.If this is true am I gonna have to do that to change my sprocket? It may be a kat but I'm tryin everything to get it worthy.I got a stage 3 jet, k&n filters, yoshi exaust, racing tires.I guess I feel bad for the underated f#cker and am tryin to help it get some respect.

Let the clutch out a little slower. If your forks are perfectly horizontal, then you only need to go a little bit higher.

Take it from someone who has a kat 600, ive done a wheelie on it, i can gas the **** out of it in 1st and bounce it and it will come up some but not a whole lot, when i clutch it though it comes up pretty easy, i put it in a low second and rev it up a good bit and then let the clutch out , it comes up every time but im sellin it to get and gettin either a 929 or 954
I went out today and practiced clutchin. I only got it up twice and only like a foot. It keeps spinnin, could it be that I need a new tire. It's hazed off a little bit but I can still see tread.

Shift your weight further back, and release the clutch a little slower. Is your tire a maccadam?
