slow sitdown wobble..

today i was praticing slow sitdowns.. and FACK, I was all over the place...

everytime I tried to look around the bike, or see where I was going, I would get the wobbles, if I just didn't care where I was going, I could keep it straight a little better, but still would wobble after a while.. how do you guys keep the damn thing going straight in slow sitdowns (~25mph)?

im running 25psi.. maybe i should be running lower ?

oh yah, btw. I hate sitdowns, almost wrecked today.. but I gotta learn em is it worth learning sitdowns, or should i work on standups and other freestyle wheelie stuff instead ?

Try hayez's suggestion. Also, stay smooth on the throttle. Being jerky with the throttle will make you wobble all over the place. Get em high and ride the brake a little. Riding the brake helps smooth out jerky throttle inputs.

i'm learning sitdowns too and i have that problem with not seeing....you are shifting your weight when you try to look around. everyone tells me to just stare at the tank. i guess try that and definately ride the brake.

yah, I'm used to doing standups and using very little rear brake input, so I'm probably using the throttle a little too much... gonna go work on riding/using brake more..

and yah, I think i was shifting my weight when I was trying to look.. o well. i'll just make sure nothings in front of me and then have some trust

Re: slow sitdown wobble..

note: i've been pracitcing them. if i keep using the throttle i wobble, if i snap it up and get off the throttle (NTH) then i'm golden. of course i can't see around but i'm rocking slow parking lot stuff here. if i use the throttle i end up wobbling like crazy.

Sweet ai got the same problem I thought it was just 'cause I suck. Stand-ups are much easier for me 'cause I have a fear of not seeing. I gotta go work on 'em with more brake and less throttle.

What part of KY you in???

HAHAHAHAH I ride with a stunt team and they can do just about ALL the stunts I recently seen on Judgement Day 2 DVD. Bill Dixon runs about 8 pounds of air pressure in rear tire when doing slow rollers. He told me he does that so the tire flattens out more which helps with the wobble bullshit. They are teaching me how to 12 now and that's the way I am learning it. Maybe this will help you!
