Thumbs up ******How To FiXXX And Make Your Subframe More Sturdy ******

NEED SOME HELP / SUGESTIONS ON FIXING MY SUBFRAME FROM HARD HITTING ON THE 12 BAR ?

BIKE IS AN 02 GSXR 1000
IT HAS 4 SMALL TABS THAT MOUNT THE FRAME TO THE SUBFRAME. THE 2 BOTTOM TABS BROKE ...I HAD THEM WELDED WENT OUT AGAIN AND THE 1ST TIME OUT THEY BROKE AGAIN....ITS MAKING IT REALLY HARD TO PRACTICE..

SO NOW WE RIGGED THIS KINDA 1/4 IN. METAL STRAP FROM THE SWINGARM PIVIT POINT HOLE TO THE REAR PEG BOLT.
HIT IT A COULPLE OF TIME NOW AND SEEMS OK SO FAR.
BUT... I 'D LIKE SOME SUGESTIONS ON WHAT YOU GUYS DID TO YOUR SUBFRAMES TO BEEF THEM UP A LITTLE WITHOUT BRAKING THE FRAME MOUNT ON THE FRAME OFF ??

THANKS
JAY

my upper ones broke on my RR cuz a bolt came loose and I didnt catch it in time. Im a machinist so I cut the ends of the subframe off and made new ends that also slipped into the squre tubing 2" then had them welded back in.

look at crazy dan's bike, he's got mad reinforcment, and i got a 750 and i have never had a problem with my subframe from scraping, i haven't been doing it that long tho so maybe it's early to speak, although i did bend the sht outta my swing arm the first time i wrecked one

just put soem steel or iron reinforcements along the subframe bolt them through the subframe and attach it to the points on the subframe, you can even put on from the subframe to the front foot peg bracket on the left side for even more support.

I cracked my right subframe tab right off after a 12 go bad on my gsxr1000. I had the local welder remake the tab on the frame but alot bigger and thicker than the original. It has held up fine since then. I will be taking my frame in over winter to get the rest of this shiat azz Suzuki tabs reinforced.
I have included a pic of the new tab......
It aint pretty but if you're worried about looks you are on the wrong website....lol
Cheers
