Jumping from pegs to tank

Ok my fellow insane brothers and sisters I got the standing on the seat christs down... now I want to up it a level by actually jumping from pegs to tank...

what is the best way to get comfortable jumping from pegs to tank without destroying my bike the first time trying? I am thinking about tying the bike up real tight upright and stationary and practice that way...

how do you guys do it??

I can't do elevators (pegs to seat/tank), but I have a rear stand and it seems like a good way to learn. They are stable so if your bike falls doing elevators on the stand you definately would have biffed doing it while moving.

If you do this be sure to have someone the to put weight on the stand bar so in dont pop out the back when you put the extra force on it by bouncing on the bike.

good idea... what is the best speed to jump at... I just keep getting these images of jumping from the pegs and my bike not being under me when I start to come down..

ur bike will be there when u come down. its only a split second and if u go to high just extend your legs more. have someone hold your bike in the grass while u practice that ****.

thats how i started. using the rear stand. haven't tried moving yet but i think it will just carry over. i usually go around 40 to do tricks like that. not sure if it is too fast

i stand up on the pegs, somewhere between 40-50mph, get balanced and i use my arms to throw my body up and forward. you have to jump iwth equal weight on the pegs and you kinda hop up to the tank bringing your knees into your chest and position your feet gently onto the tank...again putting htem down even.

The hardest thing is getting over the forward jump part cause the wind will hit you and the bike is moving.

Try rolling and standing up and holding your windscreen and jumping up like that a couple times, then once you are used to it, do it without holding onto the windscreen.

ya, "binder's school of hard knocks"

my other team mates say i'm stupid and give me **** for crashing a lot but without me crashing, i can't tell them the tips on NOT to crash. I learn the hard way a lot so i know what not to do from now on. that seems to help a lot, just sucks i have to be the guinea pig.

i just try to add whatever advice i can because it really sucked for me to learn with nobody to show me so i used all the advice to learn from the guys on here. just giving back to the rest of the team.
