How many sealed bearings should be in a 636 front wheel?
How many sealed bearings should be in a 636 front wheel?
Back on SL after a long time lurking!
I'm rebuilding my C1H 636 (uk model), got to renewing the front wheel bearings, found there's two sealed units in the left side but one unit in the left.
I'm talking actual bearing races not ***** in the bearings.
The axle spacers seemed to fit together with this 2/1 setup but there is enough room in the right side of the hub for two bearings to be fitted.
Should there be one in each side or two?
BTW this awesomely maintained bike will be up for sale when I've MOT'd it.

Thanks, the pic you linked to shows me the last owner had gone OTT and added a second bearing into the Left race.
I've put one freshie in each side, the difference on stoppies is noticable, the gnarly old bearings where why I was compensating by weaving my front wheel L to R trying to stay straight.
