Exclamation 92 FZR electrical system

A year ago my CDI fried, I was just able to replace it and then my regulator melted, I replaced it with one off a 2000 YZF and the bike is starting good like it used to. Something I noticed back when my CDI went out was the tach wouldn't rap up above 3000rpm,. I only have had 1 short ride and I am worried of more electrical damage, with the tach not revving now above 2000rpm and the light in the gage not working I would like to know if there is a way to tast the tach without completely replacing it?

I also would like to know if there is a fuse to the tach I am not aware of that possibly runs the tach, tach light, and temp light gage???

Any experience with this situation or similar who's willing to share some input would be very grateful.

Or any possible answers revealing what is causing the tach, & tach light not to work? HELP,
