954 - bogging & hiccup/coughing
this bike is completely bone stock aside a aftermarket slip-on.
i just finished putting this bike together, and after the 1st ride noticed 2 problems:
#1 - the bike feels like it's running on 2-3 cylinders until i hit 3,000rpm....after that it sounds/runs fine.....I've read on other forums a ton of people have had this problem...but anyone know how to fix it? flapper mod perhaps?
...note that the following is a completely separate issue than the one above...
#2 - when in neutral, the bike revs up&down very smoothly...however, while driving, in ANY gear (1 through 6), at exactly 7,500rpm, the motor has a hiccup & completely bogs out for a split second until it gets past that rpm....this makes it fairly impossible to wheelie, because before i can get it to bp, the bike bogs and mousetraps....since this problem is non-existent while in neutral, I'm guessing it has something to do with the drive...(chains, clutch, tranny...etc)...but I have no clue as to how I can go about diagnosing this.
can any of you great minds out there figure this out?
