so a buddys trying to sell me a 98 gixxer 750 for $800 its mint other then the chain broke off and the tabs that hold the front sprocket cover on broke off. how hard it is to fix this has anyone ever done it? i think it would make a good first stunt piece and for $800 i wouldnt care if i wrecked it. he said when you pull the clutch it pushed the cover out. i dont know if its fixable but a local told me it would need a hole new block if thats the case i dont want it. any imput or pics of someone doing it would help

 

might be able to weld the tabs back on. Might be able to rig something up just to keep the cover tight against the side, hell for $800 bucks you can't go wrong. You might be able to wrap a ratcheting tiedown around the botom end and transmission just to hold the cover in place then your wheelie ready!
