Swaping an f4i thorttle tube..
Swaping an f4i thorttle tube..
Hey if i swap a throttle tube from an 05-06 f4i onto my 05 RR will it become less twitchy.. any noticeable difference.. if not any ideas how i can get my RR throttle to be a little more smooth?
Re: Swaping an f4i thorttle tube..
i know the f4i throttle tube pulley is as small as it could be on a 7/8" bar. i dont know what the rr tube looks like though. if its pulley is bigger, then the f4i upgrade will be slightly noticeable.
Re: Swaping an f4i thorttle tube..

do work!!! pratice and ride. it can be tamed.
the f4i tube is supposed to help smoth out the throttle and make you less choppy. ive seen guys kill it on a R1 in the lot and the newer R1 is a larger pully than yours, so it has even less play and is way more twitchy. i bought one for about 20 bucks or so from the dealer when i was setting up my R6 over the winter. i only road the bike for 2 full lot sessions and a few test rides on the street. but i didnt really like it, its a much longer turn. felt too much like a f4i.....lol. i reaplced it back to stock and it was a little twitchyer and more chooppy, but thats one of the reasons people get these newer bikes, becuse there lighter and more powerful. if you gonna stick with it you better off just learning to use the stock throttle.
