04 636 gearing (do i buy kit or just front sprocket)?

04 636 gearing (do i buy kit or just front sprocket)?
from what i have been seeing most quick accell kits only drop down one tooth in the front sprocket, wouldnt it be cheeper to just find a front 14t sprocket and shorten my chain?
