Re: shifting wtf

Change the oil and pray to God its not the shift forks or internals and just some super shitty oil.

Re: shifting wtf

oil was changed about 500 miles ago. is there a main reason that stuff goes out.. or just from wear. and is that **** expensive

Re: shifting wtf

Wow, 500 sounds like there's something internal that is causing your problem. If you've not abused it too bad I would suspect normal wear. I though F4i 929 & 954's were practically indestructible. I'd call a stealership and pick a mechanic's brain about the possibilities. I've never had a trans on a bike apart but I'd go that route first, usually they will talk to you for free and be quite helpful maybe offer something you could try to fix it yourself instead of getting drug over the coals in labor.

Re: shifting wtf

if it was the forks would it shift hard all the time? or is it possible that it would only happen sometimes.

I don't know if its doing it just sometimes I would think it could a busing/bearing problem possibly I'm not sure though. Call Big Phil @ Maxey's Cycle in the service Dept and talk to him he has always been a good dude to ask ?'s like this (405)946-0558 They are Honda/Yamaha and have an awesome service dept.
