Kleen Air Mod
Kleen Air Mod
I know I know, There are hundreds of threads on here about the kleen air mod for the 03 R6. I'm a little confused tho. It seems that some of them contradict each other. Some are for racing and some say stunting but there are errors all over them. Does anyone have a clear and easy step by step with pics of how tot do the kleen air mod (for Stunting to prevent hydro locking the motor) for the 03 R6.
Not trying to beat a dead horse just trying to get some clearification. some say block offs and others say a T conector.... HELP

Re: Kleen Air Mod
Just follow the how to by Zeus. Just connect #4 to #1 with a T, don't mess with #3 hoses like he states. The one thing you need to do that isn't outlined in Zeus' how to is modifying the breather hose plates. A2K said Dave Cutler told him about this and posted up some pics.
So it should look like this except the #3 tube, just leave the originals alone when you are removing the AIS. So disregard that in the picture.

This is what you need to do under the breather hose plates on the head.

Remove the 2 screws and 4 plates.

Reinstall the housing and reinstall the breather hose plates.Plug hose #1 into one breather plate, hose #2 into the other then T them into #4. Block of the reeds on the airbox as outlined in zeus' thread and that's it. It will look like the picture at the top besides #3 as mentioned numerous times.

Here is Zeus' thread.

Re: Kleen Air Mod
The reeds on the airbox, I'm talking about the holes on the air box that need to be blocked off after you remove the AIS. The little plates you are referring to you just remove, reinstall the housing put the breather plates back on the head as before. Then hook up lines 1,2, and 4 as shown in the picture. It's really simple.
