YZF 600 dies when revved

Originally we had no spark, so just got a replacement CDI and it starts but dies when you rev it. The numbers on the CDI aren't identical could this be the cause or any other ideas for a solution? the bike is an 02 zyf 600 New cdi is from an 03 I believe.

tps? tip over sensor? Eitherway back to no spark, coils have power but not pulsing??
Probally stripe the birch over the weekend and go through all the wiring see if its chaffed and gounding.
tps-Throttle position sensor, add it to the check list.
