Noticed bike started to die when I was cruisin down road. 6th gear, around 11k rpm bike hits a wall like as if it has a governor on it.

I stopped, heard a loud whistle. It was air coming out of key hole in tank, I open cap and pressure released and Bike ran fine. Same thing about an hour later. I was almost out of gas so thought that may be why, so I filled it up, rode some more same thing.

When sitting on bike, the line that comes out the left side of tank isn't clogged, I don't know if that is the overflow or vent (maybe it does both..idk

I also noticed that when I turn the key on, the fuel pump used to prime for a few secs. Now its real quick and sounds real faint.

Would the fuel pump going bad cause it to build pressure?
Bike only got 3k miles on it, I dont know how fuel pump could **** out already

 

Might be the pressure regulator vs. the pump. If the regulator is weak or the vacuum line is loose to it, it will drop fuel pressure but also run more fuel near the engine and preheat all of the fuel in the tank. Basically the bike could be running out of fuel, but just based on fuel pressure to the injectores as opposed to actual fuel volume.
