rc51 forks on a f4i?

I know theres a million fork/f4i threads but all the ones I checked only cover 929/954/1rr/6rr

I can get a good deal on a rc51 front,so any info would be greatly appreciated

its only forks and wheel, so I still would need triples and I think I read that you need 954 triples
also any chance rc51 rotors are same as 954

yeah you need the 92954 triples, the rotors are different, 92954 has 330mm and rc51 has 320mm.
you should hit up DaLiks for infos, he did it on the F4i and 600rr

with 929/954 triples you can put just about any front end on... rc51, 636, R1 (my fav) etc...

Rc uses a smaller axle than the 929, so you need that too. Also, RC rotors are smaller but they use the same bolt pattern. Guys run the 929 rotors and make spacers for the calipers. 929 triples will work.

Re: rc51 forks on a f4i?

It can be done. Ive got the RC51 forks and brakes, 954 rim with RC bearings and tripples. It was a bit of a bitch getting the spacing right as I couldnt get a rc rim. But if your using all RC, it should fit up OK, but you might need to space it. Plus the 954 rim matches the f4i rear better

Re: rc51 forks on a f4i?

run the normal size rotors buddy! a lil less sensitive than the 954 big rotors.. change the 7w fluid for 10w and play with the settings, get a good damper. Scotts works good but you probably know that, i also ran a hyperpro, did the job very well too but wasnt as superstiff as the scotts..

Re: rc51 forks on a f4i?

thanks for the tip on the rotors, definatly not a fan of super strong front brakes. for the damper Im gonna run the aftermarket gixer rod damper(that goes in front of forks) have the stock gix damper now and its really good, just not adjustible.

btw I had a sprint rod damper on my old gix1 and cranked all the way I could barly turn the bars, haha, Im gonna try to one of those again.
