When i built race motors for the street/drag strip i beat them the second they were in time. Old man once told me if u dont rev high and u dont beat it the rings could not set in all the way and it could eventually smoke from this. Weather it be cold starts to being warmed up and given off a little grey smoke. So i beat the **** out of them and never once landed a problem. Stock block 550+ to the RW. FORD bitches.....

pistons expand when they get hot so it would be a good idea to let it warm up
