paint calipers

paint calipers

I've seen caliper paint at pep-boys....neone ever use that stuff?

I wanna do blooooood red.

If i do it, I just wanna make sure it's gonna come out clean.

any tips/pointers?

Re: paint calipers

"caliper paint" is just another way they re-market high temperature paint to make a extra few bucks

I'd just use any 500degree paint (at a minimum) or 1200+ degree paint if you want a guaranteed paint that wont fade due to heat

Red is easy as hell to come by, plenty of red "BBQ" paints for grills... rated at 1200+


Btw when using a high temperature paint, they don't need a primer or a clear coat. And also, for best results, let the product cure for at LEAST 3 days, and up to 7 before letting heat get to it... In other words, paint and DONT ride for 3 days at least

did not know that. goooooood ****

any advice in regards to painting "calipers"? or is it as easy as just sand and 3 coats?
