Clutchin 2nd on 600 with stock gearing?

i hear a lot of talk about clutchin it up in 2nd like @ 40 or so MPH
do all those people have modified gearing or is something wrong with my gixxer cause i cant bring it up in second at that speed.

Any suggestions?

i got a 01 gix 600.

I clutch ( bounce) up at about 50 mph with stock gearing. Your 01 gixxer should do the same. Just takes timing and pratice. Get up to about 50 mph , pull in clutch raise rpms ,(bounce) dump clutch.. I'm still in the learning phase of it... I was getting frustrated at first.... just keep at it...it will come. You will be able to ride wheelies alot longer ... and its smoother too

If my old FZR can come up in 2nd, your gixxer should have no problem. I cant get it as High as i want yet but i will soon.

double revving helps a lot ... get goin at about 40-50 .. pull in the clutch give the throttle 2 pumps .... right after the second pump when its at about redline dump the clutch ... just let it pop out ... dont slip it out ... just pop it .. she'll come up

I have dead stock gixxer 600 except a yosh can and a k'n filter. Redline out in 2nd stand up let off the gas and lean forward on the bars at the same time. Then lean back and pull on the bars and open that bitch all the way up, and I mean all the way up and she'll stand right up for you. You gotta have the revs way up there like 10 grand to do it. You'll get it. Don't worry you won['t flip, you gotta be staring straight at your gas cap to flip. Took me like a month to get it down. A guy I know still can't get his up and he's had it for two years.

i have a 01 gix 6 and here is what I do

I started out getting the feel of the bike in 1st

now I am clutching it up in 2nd but one clutch don't do it

so I clutch it up around 15-20 mph and tehn when it comes down and goes back up I clutch her again and she comes up and I ride her out, I am still getting used to the sweet spot, i have only hit it a couple times.(sittin down)

gunna try stand ups everyone says that is easier for long distance and it's smoother for findin the point

but the only way I know how to bring it up for stand up is

to bounce once then clutch?? buddy on same bike does it and she is up to his chest and sticks there liek nothing flat and he is cruising at 60 and I used to be better at wheelies than him........

pointers?

stock gear btw

double rev it and dump the clutch right after the second rev gets to red line ...
