when you said that it made enough sence like i was forcing it to drag.... so i hopped on it and took it for a spin with my toes facing out .... just to make sure i didn't touch it..... but you could still feel the bumping in the foot peg even.

all the motor mounts tight?

rearset tight?

shifter linkage tight?

chain tight?

etc...

yeah it's not the motor moving like you can fill it with the rotation kinda thing..... only thing i can think of is maby front sprocket broke a tooth or mabey when i slapped it down yesterday my foot slipped and put some pressure on the left side and the shifter may have caught that causing it to throw something out of whack

Re: 2001 F4i Clicking in the foot shifter.

if ur rearset is bent it it may be draggin on the chain, i had the same kinda thing, and duhhh i realized it was touchin the chain with my body weight on it

take it of and crimp it straight in a vice(might work) or slightly bend it out....too hard and ull prolly break the rearset tho

don't listen to this douche bag...it WILL snap if you try to bend it back.

...you have to heat the **** out of it.

that wud work if thats what the problem was.... the actual set it's self has a slope to it causing the shifter to rub.
