f4i fuel pump not priming

well i laid my bike down last summer and i have ben fixing it up trying to get it rideable again
i go and try to start it and it cranks over but it doesnt start
i dont hear the fuel pump priming and i have no idea on where to look
i also dont have the headlight wiring harness hooked up cuz all the wires got road rashed up everything to the clip on the harness
so maybe that has something to do with it?

i forget if the tip sensor runs off that harness but if so splice them red and green wires together or use a good but connector and crimp it good. also check your relays that are in the tail. engine start/stop relay is what they are called, although for some reason if you order that relay from honda its listed as "starter relay" but those are not starter relays. the starter relay is a "solenoid" and has 2 terminals screwed into it, 1 coming from the battery and another going to the starter. please check your main fuse also. if this blew then it will not let your bike start. if another one blows then you know you have a short circuit or a ground somewhere that shouldnt be, due to wires getting pinched or rashed during a crash. another thing you can do is hook gauges up to it and then a piece of wire jumpered to the litte connector near the ecu that isnt connected to anything, count the blinks, then look in your service manual for what that falls under and theres your fault.

Re: f4i fuel pump not priming

Like they said its your TOS. If you remove the headlight wiring harness with the tos included you need to bypass the tos. Do a search and theres threads on it. Actually heres the pics of what you need to do if youre leaving the harness and tos off.
