Ok, I FINALLYYYY got my 636 set up and built...been working on it WAY toooo long. Today I get out and take it on its first test ride, and got about 5 miles from home, when the bike started running funny and eventually came to a stop with a dead battery..NOW, when i was working on the bike in my garage the battery went dead, so I thought it was a bad battery...therefore I went and bought a BRAND NEW ONE...which is the one that died today on my first test ride after 10 minutes or so....Which leads me to believe its the rectifier....but where is it? on a 600rr there in the tail, but i cant find it on this 636...little help please....or if you have any idea as to what else it might be that would be awesome too!

 

until 06 the gixxers had them on the left side (as you sit on the bike) tail, mounted to the subframe. the newer gixxers have them mounted near the radiator, close to the horn. not sure on a kawi tho

 

scratch that, try looking under the tail.

 

 

it's under the seat can't miss the heat fins, they stick out of the back of the frame kinda

 

sweet! how much do those run price wise for a new one? I wonder if a dealer would by chance have one in stock around here...id like to ride this weekend!
