Re: 954 wheel on an f4I

you can for a fact swap the 954 forks, stem, and entire front to the F4/F4i frame without mods. i've done it.

as far as just the wheel... eh.. not too sure on that bro.

all the F4i **** should cross over, but if theres no hard proof of it being done,. sadly you'll probably have to experment. get one of your boys over with a newer bike and see if **** will fit on yours.

weird **** crosses over tho.. you'd be surprised.. wish there was a master list of swappable parts, but i don't know of any yet.

Re: 954 wheel on an f4I

yeah, I already have a 929 front end on my f4i. I just took the calipers and wheel off my 954 and put them on...wanted the gold calipers. But know I need to put a black rear wheel so it matches as my are green. All I know for sure is 01-03 rears fit. hoping I had more options so I could bargain hunt....as thats part of the fun for me at least

Re: 954 wheel on an f4I

when you asked me if the calipers would work on your bike i thought you still had a 929 wheel and rotors on your bike but if you put the 954 wheel on then check to make sure the 954 rotors are the same size as the 929 rotors ...

Re: 954 wheel on an f4I

im confusing at times. what i had was a complete 929 forks wheels calipers everything already on my f4i. I was bored so I put my 954 wheel, rotors, calipers everything. so know i have 929 forks and everything else 954 so its good to go. But I need to find a oem black rim for the f4i so the color matches at least.

Re: 954 wheel on an f4I

from what I gather some people say one has 310mm and the other 320mm cant remember wich is wich. but aftermarket pads rotors etc seem to be the same. I just was noticing my 954 rotors and wheels are in much better shape and I wanted the gold calipers so i just unbolted everthing but the forks and swapped. but know my 954 has one green front rim and my f4i one black so its kinda lame.
