its challenging with FF...but easy with no fairings...get a cable off another bike and mod it to fit and stick out or lose the fairings

Re: idle adjustment

my ide is messed up also . i've adjusted it a couple of times today . and after a lil it either jumps up 2 like 3 grand or idles a 1 and then stalls . i've also lost a lil power , **** bogs when i get on it . i think its either the plugs or the carb . if anyone has any idea if i'm right or not or what the pronlem might be please let me know . thank u . and sorry sixxer , i dont really know anything bout gixxers but if its like my bike look for a lil i guess a screw but it should have like a plastic peice on the end . u have to look for it but it should be up toward ur seat and turn it clockwise to turn the idle up , or counter to bring the idle down . if thats what ur asking . but i would say look it up just incase i'm wrong , cause like i said i'm not completely sure and i dont wanna give u bad advice . good luck brother . hope u figure it out

Re: idle adjustment

I cant remember what I did to mine but from what I remember you get a idle cable from an older gsxr and remove the screw and screw the idle cable in its place. its been a while since i sold the gsxr but you can definitely put an idle screw on it. do a search on here and youll find out what cable will work.

Re: idle adjustment

problem most of you aren't understanding is that most of these bike they are asking about are "fly by wire" throttles, not cable driven. I just purchased an '06 gixxer 6 myself.

ok,dont quite understand all that..but i DO know the idle screw is on the left side of TB's,reachable thru the trianglish opening in the frame...with FF its impossible to get your hand in there, unless your a midget of course, but all you do is get an idle cable off a 03-04 zx6 and mod it on thereor just use a piece of vaccum line, push it tight over idle screw, and run it out the side of your fairing, its ghetto as ****,but it works just the same

looks good but the problem still lies in the fact that the '05 gixxers were still cable operated not electronic.

Re: idle adjustment

So is the idle screw different from the Honda F4i's idle screw? Because the honda's change the air/fuel ratio correct???

does the gixxer stock idle screw also change air/fuel ratio? or it actually opens the butterflys
