i know this has been asked before, but i cant seem to find it. Anyone ever run the rotors from japan? the ones for like 165 on ebay. I need a new set for the 1000 frontend on my f4i and was starting to look around wanted to know good/bad things about them

 

if you mean hong kong, then i jus got a set. the wave rotors right? 160 plus shipping. i didn't install them yet, but, jus by looking at them they look like they won't last too long. they look nice tho.

reason being the rivets that hold the floating rotors together look crappy. like if you look at a oem rivet its 1 solid piece, the one from hong kong is tensioned by a thin washer thats been bowed.

oh an i just finished the transaction, meaning, they shipped out a replacement rotor, an i jus shipped the defective one back. all good communication, an quick shipping an all. jus i personally think the product is crap. remember those thin bowed washers to tension the rivet? one of them was flat an the rivet was loose an could spin freely....

hope this post helps, i guess you get what you paid for. i will post pics of the defective rotor after my cam charges up...

 

yea man, let me know how they are after a few times out, i might just get a set of stock rotors again
