ZX-10 Front End on F4i

Has anyone done this??

I want to put an 04 ZX-10 front end on my F4i and i need to know what i need to do it. The forks are 50mm which is the same as 929/954/1kRR if that is any help. Could I just use like a 929 lower and stem and bolt it up or what??

Thanks for the help guys!

Re: ZX-10 Front End on F4i

james put a 05-06 636 front end on a 600rr with 929/954 triples but had to shim the lower triple because of where the fork get fat in the lower triple did not line up. Ghetto and it worked but just not something i would trust

If the forks are 50mm then use 929/954 lower and upper (HoHey upper I reccomend) then the rest of the front end the zx10....already know the 929/954 lower and upper is a go on the f4i, everything else would be zx10 and would bolt up to the zx10 forks (fender, wheel, calipers, rotors, etc)

thats what i was thinking.....is there any chance the space in between the triples is different though? like if the zx stem is longer/shorter than the 929/954

If your using the 954 lower then your using the 954 stem Why use a zx10 lower/stem? Only thing is the length of the forks compared to 954/929 forks

The diameter of the forks is not the same as a 954 at the point where the lower clamp of the tripple is. ***** already told you this.

Re: ZX-10 Front End on F4i

the 10 forks are 29 1/2 tall roughly...I don't know about your f4i but on my bike the only thing was I have to clamp the lower triple on a bit of the grooved surface of the fork it doesn't line up perfect on the smooth part. you figure anything out yet or is it a no-go? if i had a f4i around I could see how the forks line up how tall is a f4i fork anyways?

Re: ZX-10 Front End on F4i

if you can make a custom tripple then you can make any thing fit..

the things you have to look out for are the things already mentioned above and then there is the distance between the forks , if you are gonna use the zx10 front wheel then the space between the forks will need to be the same as the zx 10 ..
