i think heating the nut is a bad idea because of the seals and **** around the shaft , a 3/4 inch drive impact will take it off .

the breaker bar can work too but that tends to strip the nut or brake the socket ...

you shouldn't heat it up that much that it would affect the seals. Just 15-20 secs with a torch
