learning the clutch

Okay, first of all my stunt bike is ready to go. 96 900rr with -1 +2 sprockets. I cant wheelie at all with my R1. I want to learn the clutch method because all you masters seem to say clutch it!!!!!!!How should I learn? should I learn to clutch in 2nd? or first? or should I learn by powering the bike up first then clutch? Any advice for learning to clutch in first or second ? what revs? should I just pop the clutch?

Get it up fast to the balance point, feel it, and ride it out = Good look

it doesn't matter what year R1 you have, that baby should come
up with no clutch, and just by you twinkling you nose. that baby
has TOO much torque for you not to be able to 2nd gear wheelie.
My R6 has the same set up your R1 has and i have no problem with 2nd gear whellie. just go on a back road and practice some
more.

practice x3 get a feel for clutching up first, once you are comfy pulling first gear, go to 2nd, it will be smoother

Just practice, once you learn clutching, youll never do a power wheelie. I love when i can bring it up at 5mph, when my friends are at 45mph. Cant wait to practice tomorrow
