636 front end ?

well i dropped my bike a couple weeks ago im thinking that i have smashed some of the steering stem bearings when i crashed the bike my cage sunk in the grass but the front wheel took most of the damage. I have been riding but it seems like the bike is pulling to the right i think either those bearings or i bent the forks or the frame possibly i hope not though anyone have any advice what i should do next to check those bearings or what should i do?

Re: 636 front end ?

it is very hard to damage the head bearings in a crash but it is very easy to misalign the front end .

look and see if your front wheel is facing perfectly straight when your bars are straight , if not then just loosen the top tripple tree and twist the front end back into alignment

Re: 636 front end ?

oh and the easiest thing to check your bearing is to lift the front wheel off the ground by tilting the bike back on the kickstand and simply turn the bars back and forth to see if the bearings feel smooth or if there are any tight spots, if there are tight spots you have a problem if not then you are probably fine

your head bearing could be loose but thats no big deal , just take off the top tripple and tighten them
