FI light F4i weird problem
FI light F4i weird problem
so i jump the wires under the seat and the light doesnt flash. if i put the jumper in before i start or turn on the bike the fi light goes away. when i turn it on without it the fi light is on. and it doesnt flash so i can read the codes. anyone know whats wrong? help! thanks
Re: FI light F4i weird problem
1. Jump the service check connector.
2. Turn the ignition on and engine switch to run.
3. Do not start the bike. (Light will not blink with engine running.)
4. Read the number of "blinks".
Remember... there are fault codes for "0" blinks, but that usually indicates an ECM problem or a MIL circuit problem.
When all else fails, read the manual. Diagnostic procedures are in the FUEL section.
Go Fast Video
Right click on "Click to Play Video" and select "Save Link as". It will save the file as a PDF.
Good Luck.

Re: FI light F4i weird problem
Factory manuals are the most essential tool that you need for any type of diagnostic work.
Post up if you find anything and hopefully someone can give more guidance. It is extremely hard to try and diagnose any problems without having access to the bike first hand.
The manual will give you start and give everyone else a little more insight into what problems you might be facing.
