Re: 05-06 636 overheating HELP?

You said the fan was hardwired. Is it turning on?

There is a difference in hardwiring and hooking up a toggle switch. If you hardwired, then the fan should run all the time once the key is turned.

Heres how I bleed mine, there might be a better way. But Ive have used this method for a while and it always works.

-with bike cold, Take radiator cap off, top off radiator with fluid.
-put some towels over wheel, fender, ect.
-start bike let it idle till about 200-215 then you will see some bubble (and it just starts bubbling in general) start to come to the surface of radiator opening
-then turn off bike for a minute and let the bubbles surface and then the fluid will resurface in the radiator but lower now because of the air pockets that came up, then you top if off again and turn it back on to idle some more and produce more bubbles
-then just turn it off again once it burps up some more air then top off fluid and repeat until you feel like you got most of it, you can even rev just a little to help the bubbles come up

***IT COULD burp out a splash of fluid if you let it burble too long, so you just have to kinda watch it. A little dribble of fluid is normal
