01 f4i wont start wen hot..?

wen my bike gets hot i have to lay it on the side to start. but its starting to get to hot to start . and its not like its over heating . so any one have that or ever dealt with it.

dumping too much fuel maybe? u got a powercomander?
my old gsxr use to do that, when it got hot it didnt want to start so i changed the map and it solved the problem

For ***** and giggles....Remove the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator thats on the throttle body side. See if u are getting any fuel into that hose. IF u are, then the FPR is probably going out. Its dumping fuel into #2 and #3 cylinders. Reason its starting on its side is probably because its forcing the fuel away from flooding........Thats NOT a normal symptom of the FPR, but its known to occur........I'd check it to be on the safe side. Process of elimination...=-)

Usaually when the FPR starts going out. The bike will burn rich and also run on 2 or 3 cylinders....Acts weird....=-)
