Will Not Come Up In 2nd???
aright ive been doin 1st gear wheelies for like a month now .. 9 out of 10 times i can get it up pretty damn high and ride it out until its past redline and i have to put it down .... i got a 600 f4 and no matter how fast im goin or however much gas i give it ... it seems like it will not come up ... the most it will give me is around a foot maybe ... in a different thread someone told me my bike should clutch up in 2nd no prob ... please help me out ...
by the way i hate to bounce it ...

I ride an f4I. The main thing you need to know is TAKE YOUR TIME! When your clutching in 2ed you need to try it at different speeds and different RPMs when you drop the clutch. Start small and work your way up, for example ( speed 30 to 35mph, drop the clutch at 7000 rpms ) if that dont work try 8 then 9 ect ect.......
Once again TAKE YOUR TIME, if i here that you looped it after i told you this i'll come over there a kick your @$$. J/K bro.
have fun and were all your gear!

i tryed it with the gas pinned and once i hit 50-55 i pulled in the clutch and popped it when the gas was redline .... maybe i should be goin slower but still redline it and dump it ... i really dont think i should have to bounce and clutch to get it up ... but im gettin really tired of doin these 5-10 sec 1st gear wheelies ...
Ok then try double reving it, rev it up to like 8 or 9 then hit the gas and drop the clutch. Its easyer if you can find someone to show you if ya dont understand what i'm talking about.
ok bear with me hear, your going down the road, pull in the clutch rev it then rev it again on that second rev drop the clutch, your going to need to practice this believe me, it took me like two day to get it down.
Its all one motion that you just need to practice. I dont know anyone thats revs it up, then dumps it...that doesnt sound safe to me! Its just a quick 1 finger snap! Best advise, ride along side of someone that knows what they are doing, and ask as many questions that you need to! On a 600, you really just need to snap the clutch and give it all the throttle you can at the same time, then let off a little bit if it gets too high for ya! Hope this helps a little, but seeing someone do it in person helps out so much more!

I have a 98 Srad 600 i got it with 10 g's on the odometer and it would clutch up second, take second to about 7500 r's clutch it to almost the redline , let it fly (don't ease out) and yank shifting your weight towards the back . I changed gearing 2 down in front two up in back and the same technique now pulls third.
