f4i clutch switch

f4i clutch switch

ok so im getting an msr ez pull for my f4i but it says that i need to bypass the clutch switch to install it. does ne one know what i have to do to do this i dont have any wires pluged into my clutch perch now. can someone help me out

There are 2 wires that run to your stock clutch, this allows you to start the bike in gear.


If your bike will start in gear right now, then your wires are already bypassed. If not, then they aren't.


It's a good thing to have, that way when your idle is cranked up, you dont have to slam it into gear and destroy your tranny

how do u bypass it if its not already cause i dont have those wires and i kinda gotta slam it into gear

they come out of the left side switch pod. do you still have your hi/lo and turn signal switches?

Good timing, I got the same problem. I went out the local dealership saturday and looked @ the wiring diagram and found the two wires on that plug that need to be shorted but I'm at work now. I'll try and remember to reply when I get home from work with the colors(I got them written down), i remember they are both at least partly green, haha

PS. This would be a lot easier if Stuntife's email was working. I never get updates for threads I'm subscribed to.
