636 fan switch ANYONE HELP?????

636 fan switch ANYONE HELP?????

so i was tryin to do the fan mod, cause i gotta a wire some where grounding out and it keeps blowin a fuse... So i hooked the blue and black wire off the fan together with a wire straight to a 20 amp 2 leg toggle swith, then ran a line off the toggle to the battery.. Still nothing, im thinkin the wire thats been blowin the fuse has fried the fan some how???? im buggin out and dont wanna ride without a fan...

u run a wire from the positive side of the battery to a switch... then run a wire from the blue wire to the switch.. thats it.

there are two wires coming off your tempeture sending unit on the radiator ,touch the two of them together if your fan doesn't come on or it pops the fuse again then you probably need a fan.....

and if your fan does come on then plug the two wires back in to the sending unit and put a switch in between those two wires that way you can turn the fan on to stay running while your stunting but if you forget to turn on the fan it will still come on with temp

thanks roger,,, BUT if the wire from the fan is shorting out, when i jump the two from the sending unit, it will still short out off the fan.. right??? my question now is, the two wires coming off the fan the blue is power and the black is ground???? right???? so i should be able to ground the black and run the blue to the toggle??? that would basically x out the original problem with a short off the fan?? i think... damn

yep and if that smokes then you need a new fan ,but if it does spin make sure it spins in the right direction
