i just put a new motor in my sv and everything runs flawless..... except..... i cant get it to run without atleast a touch of choke to the carbs. Throttle response and start up is all right on point! But the bitch wont idle without some choke. I havnt messed with any adjustments on the carbs yet cause i know nothing bout em. suggestions??????

 

It should idle at about 900 to 1100 rpms. You might have to adjust the idle set on the side of the bike. Sometimes what happens is the cable get turned while the motor is out and sets base idle different.

 

nope... tried that. i think somin else is goin on. Mabey somin got outta wack while it was apart. sat 2 months with no motor and the carbs got moved around by like every dick head new guy at my work who thought they could touch my ****. Somone actually lost all of my engine mounting bolts. So whos to say they didnt mess around with my carbs or somthin? I ordered a shop manual for it but i kinda wanna ride it this weekend. HELP!!!!!!!!!!
