cheap ebay chains
I need a new chain for my f4i, currently running 2 chains spliced together.. one chain with 30k on it, and another thats a lil newer lol...
Would it be fine to get a cheap chain off ebay, like this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuk...spagenameZWDVW
I shot a master link out a few days ago, 100 miles from home..
Also wondering if the screw type master links are good? I like being able to take my chain off to clean it, but don't like the fact i've had TWO brand new clip-style master links fall off!
edit: when I say screw master link, I mean one of these

edit: oh.. I didn't know the screw type RIVET themselves on.. I thought you could unscrew them

Re: cheap ebay chains
ya thats what im hoping to avoid
gotta get my bike registered, get a new chain, new fork seals + fork bushings, and brake pads
and I don't have enough cash for it ALL right now
Btw here is another question.. Are 'high end' master links, like rk/DID, better then cheap master links? Because I've shot two cheap master links out of my bike so far.. And I dont' want to lose another one..
Also, anyone ever saftey wire one? Is it possible to lose the clip with saftey wire??
edit: oh ya, both clip master links I lost, were mounted in the right direction, AND were both only mounted ONCE!
After losing my first master link, I'l never re-use one..

Re: cheap ebay chains
that sounds soo crazy it just might work
What type of glue? Super glue? Maybe even fiberglass resin??
mmm I'm wondering how super glue + saftey wire would do..
I really like the idea of being able to take my chain off for cleaning, especially if I'm buying a new one
