how can i disconect the throttle cable so the throttle tube can fit over the bar. i thought it was just the 2 screws that lead into the throttle but doesnt seem like it. need to figure this out cuz it feels like im gonna break something trying to stretch the throttle tube to fit over the bar

 

open the throttle housing (take the screws out on the bottom and pull apart) slide the throttle sleeve onto the bar w/o the cables attached.

sit it in the housing correctly and run your cables.

insert cables into throttle sleeve. its a bitch and will most likely require a screw driver but it will work.

at least that's how i did mine

 

i know how to take the throttle housing apart just cant figure out how to detatch the cables do they come apart on the inside where the cable turns into a little ball sorta thing. if so that **** is hard to take apart i toyed around with that for like 20 mins then i gave up

 

yeah follow the ball you gotta wiggle it out and yank on it with a tool or two....its sort of a bitch. you could always pull your tank up and loosen them on the engine i'm just always too lazy to do that unless my tank is already off.

i believe....its been awhile.....that the pull cable is the easier of the two to get off first

another trick is just loosen up your clip on and pull the whole clip on off then you can get the angle to pull the sleeve off.....its only two 8mm hex's
