Tips for seat cover install

Im re-doing my F4i Banana seat for more butt support on super slow stuff. I will be removing the cover, removing a little material from the back area of the rider seat area and adding a foam or gel pad the the passenger part to raise it up and offer the little backrest that can keep you from sliding off.

My Q's
Will my home staple gun be strong enough?
What exact staples work best?
Tips on stretching the cover, I plan on using the same one again

Any other tips, walkthroughs would be great. Getting started tonight
Thanks

a home staple gun will work,,make sure to use the very sharp staples with it though...and i recommend you should buy some new vynal to put on it cause the stock is already cut and will be a pain to stretch back on....oh yea and a heat gun help also to get out wrinkles....

Cool. I will try it with the stock one first though. Its not going to be a drastic change so I thin it may fit. Is it really a bitch to do?

its not bad aslong as yer not adding to much extra foam,,the stock cover is cut real short to the staples,so adding padding will make it harder to grab on to to stretch it where it will stapled to....youll see what i mean...

Yeah the main thing will be to shave the foam on my seat as it leads up to the back seat so it will be lower there, and then add like a 10mm foam piece to the front of the back seat. I just need a liitle lip there.
Thanks for the help.

Any more tips guys?

Make sure you use SHORT staples..

I dunno how thick your seat is on the edge, but on my 50 seat, I had to use I think 6mm staples, or they'd poke through!!
