Installing LSL/Speigler bar conversion ?

I just recieved my LSL/Speigler bar conversion kit for my 2001 R6. Problem, not a big one but No English language instructions come with it.
I did a search and did not find it in here but if I missed it accept my apology. Anybody got any tips ? The stealership is not an option.
I am basically mechanically inclined and have a lot of tools. Any pics would help also. Thanks

Well, I am not having any luck yet! 1st problem I have encountered is size of nut on steering stem is larger than any socket or wrench I have, so I will need to buy a larger socket. I have a 30mm wrench and socket and its way larger than that. I am guessing its a 36mm. I will have to go and buy one monday somewhere. I will wait till Monday. I am going riding today while its nice. I will get up with DSC if I have questions I cannot figure out.

Re: Installing LSL/Speigler bar conversion ?

Finally got started on actually changing out the parts, man what a pain in the butt. Finally bought a 36mm socket, actually a set of metric 3/4 inch sockets. Got the steering stem nut off with not to much trouble. but thats were the trouble began. next problem could not get ignition switch off of old top tripple. Yamaha used snap off head screws so I wound up having to use a hacksaw blade to saw off the bolts from the side of the ignition switch. finally afterabout an hour got that off. Then could not get brake lines out of the clamps under the guages. Took off the rest of my fairings for that. Got tripple on after some convincing then the wires were way to short on several things so I wound up cutting and splicing them back together. All things said this kit LSL/Spiegler is nice but it would have been a great help had a set of english instructions w/ pics and or diagrams had been sent with it. Very high quality components. I would buy this again but I think I would take it to a shop if I had to do this again. If you have a lot of patience and beer this is an okay DIY project but I had neither patience or beer! Man it sucks to be broke. Will post up pics soon.
