Stock f4i upper fairing stay.. bending it back...

I've got a upper fairing stay in my garage, I'm going back full faired soon, don't want to buy a fairing stay if I can help it... the one I've got is twisted, the metal looks pretty thin and fragile, is there any way this can be twisted straight without it all falling apart? it doesn't need to bend /that/ much really, just needs to straighten out a little, just a bit concerned it'll snap so thought I'd ask before trying....

its cheeply made out of real brittle metal. I would heat it up real good before trying to bend that thing. Mine was broke when i got my bike and it the matal looked week inside the break.

I tried it on my F4, similar stay but same idea. I used an oxy sediline(sp) torch and found it very difficult to make it fit. After a few hours and a lot of gas i decided to let the moths out and chip for a new one :P
