Question some 03 636 issues..

alright, did the extended clutch arm mod but now my cable seems to be stretched and i cant get ANY slack on it..the bottom adjuster is all the way back and the adjuster by the lever is too (stock clutch lever)

also put the dented tank i bought on and havin a couple issues..first is the FI light is on all of the sudden? could it have to do with the stock gas cap not being able to close completely? that brings me to my next problem..i cant fill it up at the gas station! im lookin down at the bottom of the tank as soon as i open it so if i try puttin gas in it, it sprays back :\

any ideas? thanks guys

adjust the lower part of the cable in to get more slack ...

as far as the tank some people cut out the splash guard and some people bend it by hitting it with a big punch or chissel..

you will have to have patience and a slow hand at the gas pump. find a station and a pump with less pressure and stick with it. i fill my bike at the same pump every time...

i wouldnt think so! you can try to make an opening in there, but watch that you dont put a hole in the tank. your fi light could be something you didnt hook back up when you put the tank on.

Cut out the splash guard, that really should have been done before the dent but whatever...Cut it out, gas filling problem solved.

Drain it then take the cap and fuel pump off, I usually let it sit overnight so the rest of the gas evaporates...Then I use a small rotary gringing disc that fits in the hole, and go around cutting the splash gurad just under that first lip...Just be carefull on the left side there is a hole under the cap, that has a tube that runs throguh the tank. Make sure you dont cut through that, if you do your tank will leak and any water that gets under the cap will mix into the gas....When its cut all the way around pop it out and get it out of the tank through the fuel pump hole...

Should look like this when your done

Re: some 03 636 issues..

ground down the bottom of the clutch cable mount above the cover a few MM to give me the extra room with the help of skinnyr and its all good now.. oh and the fi light was due to me not remembering to plug in the AF sensor..doh

not too mechanically adept to do the gas tank so ill have to be careful when im ready to do it

FI Light is not caused by a gas cap. Its most commonly people forget to plug the plug into the airbox on top.
