01 honda 929 no spark

01 honda 929 no spark

anyone have a 2001 honda 929 wiring diagram. i recently took apart my bike and once put back together it wont spark. soo i either dont have something connected or i fried somethin. it turns over and everything else works except i get no spark.

do you hear the fuel pump kick on? if not then check the tip over sensor or the kill switch. both of those would cause the bike to be on but the fuel pump not to prime.

there are also other problems with the ignition switch. if one of the wires isn't getting enough voltage it won't trip the relay to make everything run (in laymens terms). i forget which one it was...but wiggins just had to replace teh switch part of his ignition and it worked great.

he also noticed a lot of corroded connections taht he had to clean and put back together. that fixed his problem.

note: the 929 manual does not have the wiring diagram in it, for some reason. but the rest of the manual is there....so, download the 954 manual for the wiring diagram. (they have the same wires)

Make sure the MAP sensor TP sensor plugs are not plugged in correctly. The two have the same type connector and can be confused. That is if you had the harness removed.

Had the same problem with mine. Found the ignition switch was the problem. samething that happens to the F4i. Would definitely check that.
