Re: rough idle and dying
I'm in the process of dealing with this on my bike also. I wrecked one good time at the lot and the bike wouldn't start up. Turned out my ECM came unplugged. After plugging it in the bike ran, but the headlight won't work, radiator fan doesn't run, and the bike will idle funny and cut off. Here's what I've done and suggest you take a look at...
Spark plugs, which you've already done. Make sure none are fouled or broked (the electrode can be broken on the inside).
Check the simple things first like make sure you air or fuel filters aren't clogged. Make sure your fuel injectors are running right and aren't clogged. Try using some fuel injector/system cleaner.
Check your idle.
Check your starter valve and make sure it's properly synched.
Check for vacuum leaks around the throttle bodies and manifold.
If all that fails then check your ECM.
I think I may have f#cked my ECM when I crashed so I'm going to buy a used one and see if that fixes my problem.
