front end shake
front end shake
i have an 02 gsxr 750 and just yesterday it started acting funny, i was riding and took my hands off to lift up the screen on my helmet and the front end just started to wobble for no reason, so i grabbed it and stopped it no big deal. But for some reason everytime i bring down a wheelie, whether it be 1st gear or 2nd it wobbles real bad again, like a tank slapper wobble but its not.
and again today i had it happen when i took my hands off the bars, it started out real subtle so i let it go and it just go worse and worse until i had to grab the bars and stop it again. havent changed anything recently, checked tire pressure its still fine. im running a gpr stabalizer also.
any ideas on whats causing this?

Re: front end shake
ride along around 25-30 and lean over your bike and watch the front wheel to see if it has a bad wobble left to right. My front wheel does that now from setting down circles hard and crooked.
if its straight, check and see if you have a spot where wheel weights used to be but fell off. Your front wheel could be out of balance. It's easy to balance your own wheels with a $80 static balancer, thats what I have with my tire machine and it takes maybe 5 minutes to have them balanced.
another possibility is your front tire could be cupping. look at your front tire's tread and see if the tread is thick on one edge and worn down alot more on the other edge of the raised tread. I've had Dunlops do this ALOT, especially since I ran lower pressures(20-25psi) or endoes since they kept sliding on me when pulling up endoes.
you could also check you steering stem nuts under the top triple to see if the stem beaings are loose instead the neck of the frame. I've had that before, but mostly had just a popping sound and feel when setting wheelies down or pulling up endoes. A little headshake, but not severe like I have now with my warped front wheel!
hope that helps and good luck
