How do I align forks after crashing?

My 636 was looped in a wheelie and the forks looked jacked. I got good advice from a professional stunter who said he doubted the forks were bent but were probably twisted in the triple trees instead.

I loosened up all the pinch bolts and I think he was right. I was able to move everything into some sort of alignment. But how do I get it perfect and tighten it all back up again?

Re: How do I align forks after crashing?

i don't know if it works but i have heard of people loosening all the pinch bolts and the big nut on the top tripple and just twisting it as close to straight as they can and then spinning the front wheel as fast as they could and then hitting the front brake and then tightening every thing back up....

i geuss the tire spinning and then stopping pulls every thing straight ???

Thanks man...sounds like that might get me close enough. You should post more though...your numbers are LOW....LOL

Anybody else have any ideas? I am gonna try this one above but more suggestions can't hurt.

if your talking about using the axle to make sure the forks are even then you have made a bad assumption ....
