Question How to dent in my tank?

Hey guys.
Just got an '01 R6.
I'm ready to dent in the tank to do crossed up endos.
I want it to be a smooth dent to sit in so I can do Spinderellas in it. What is the best way to push it in? Thanks.

DO NO HIT IT WITH A HAMMER!!!!! IT WILL BEND CROOKED AND THE CAP WILL PROBABLY LEAK, IF NOT BREAK.........JUS DO WHAT GMAN SAYS, OVER THE FRONT STOPPIES WILL DENT IT IN AND GIVE YOU A PERFECT *** SEAT.

Or another way u can do it,,,,,put ur helmet, upside down on the tank and hit it twith a 2x4 flat
the 2x4 will not put too much pressure and the helmet wont allow n e thing to break.........
Pluz,,,,,also use a cloth tacky between helmat and tank that will ensure single spot dent instead of the helmet moving around...P3@c3~~~~~

i don't know but i'm guessing that a r6 tank won't dent just under doing stopipes, i have an f4i and it wouldn't have ever dented if i hadn't pounded it in with a hammer. just take your time, it'll prolly look like **** no matter what you do unless you take mega time adn effort and bondo.

yeah i think the r6 tank is somewhat like the f4is gotta kick it in.. i heard somethin about wrappin a 25 pound weight in a towel and usin that to kick it down evenly.. i think its gunna look like hell because it would be tough to dent naturally

Dentin r6 tank

I dont know, the r6 tank is a pain in the *** to dent in. Theres like a copper tube on the inside on the left side of the tank that wont let the left hump go down. If it comes down to it put on some heavy boots and dance on it.

03 R6

I got an 03 R6 and every time I try to do a high chair I set the front end down and my *** slides into the bars and it gets all shaky, almost dumped it a couple times, I don't really want to dent the tank since it is a brand new bike, but the forward slant of the tank makes me slide all around.. so anyone have any advice?

Listen to what Gman said

Dent it doing stoppies feet over. They do dent trust me! it just takes time. It took one of my friends about a week to do it but it does happen (F4I's are a different story).

besides if you dent it by hammer or weight it will not fit your *** like if you did it feet over style. It will also dent where u r comfortable sitting.............. not where you think it should be when doing it by hammer or anything else.

well the dents behind my gas cap came naturally after putting grip tape on there but when i dented in front of the gas cap ( for endos) my friend held my bike up and i just stomped on it.... i also got skateboard grip tape on there seems to be working great.
