were having problems with a honda 03 600rr, the bike while not in gear and idling on will rev to 13,000. then when riding the bike it feels as if the power just dies out above 11,000 rpm. and in gear it wont rev about 13,000 now. the fluids good, everything, but it acts like a rev limiter. just started doing it, and ideas or help will be greatly appreciated!

check ur idle cable, mine was revving all crazy n **** but once i got it fixed it stopped doin that

 

im sorry i didnt word that correctly, the bike will ONLY rev to 13,000 no matter what, it idles ok and is fine untile then...my bad

idle cables fine i readjusted that a while ago, and everything else seems ok but we realy cant figure out why it wont rev past 13,000....sometimes it wont rev past 6,000 eeeek

 

when i had mine it did this before when it got hot... i just sold the pos and moved on

 

im local and i can look over it/fix it, it'll cost ya a few dollars since this is what i do full time out of my garage.

 

well we narrowed it down, heard alot of people have problems with the battery causing this on hondas, why i have no idea. but voltage tested out ok, we are goin to test the generator on it and see how it turns out

 

Its the fuel pump!
