F4i air box question

I relise this is prolly a repost i read into it a bit some just wanted to get some fresh imput. Recently got an f4i and decided ti fight it out. i took all the **** off just running bare bones and ive read you need to tape up one of the air ducs on teh air box cause the bike bogs in a wheelie at low rpms, which i have noticed.any pitcular thing i should be aware of or do different. i completey romoved the air ducs and just taped off the right side duck completly.

f4i just bogs no matter what, you gotta be extremely easing on the throttle to get any blip... its a art on stock or close to stock gearing.

Re: F4i air box question

so your on idle in a sitdown and u drag the rpms down alittle bit and the front end starts to fall you give it gas to save it and it doesn't fall on its face?

Re: F4i air box question

Nope, not at all.

Most people that have those problems are either using the cheap spark plugs that ALL Honda dealerships will give you when asking for plugs instead of the proper irdium ones OR there throttle bodies are out of whack. With the proper plugs and a fresh synch on the throttle bodies the F4i will NOT bog. ESPECIALLY with a stock pipe.

I tell people this all the time but they do not want to take my advice.

There loss

Re: F4i air box question

ok so im taking the tape off then...thx for the hint....and mine bogs when i drop out of teh balance point kind of annoying cause i go to save it and i fall on my face and the take off when the wheel hits teh ground...its not horrible but i could use it to not do that....ill try better plugs when i get a chance......anything else i should keep a watch out with this bike as far as preventative meintenance....they have any big problems far as stuntin goes? i have a hindle high rise to...should i drop it for stock one? Also where i took the air ducks off right on the air box...is it alright to leave it exposed like that or should i craft some vents with some mess wire or something.....ill tell you one thing it sounds alot like *** with the ducts off to...much more gruff

Re: F4i air box question

synch the throttle bodies, get the expensive iridium spark plugs.... if it still bogs like crazy get a stock slip-on and if its still crap get +20 sprocket lol..

that bog stall to take off is a bitch, I hated that on my f4i
