HEY ALL

i live in mount wernon washington ....
i have a gsxr 1000
all local dealers are logged out to 2-4 weeks
i ride everyday and need help with my bike
any one semi local i will travel

problems
being robbed of mass power ( cant even power it up in second gear anymore )
engine lopes at an idle
gas mileage droping ( not that it was ever good ... i like the thottle )
brakes and suspention need adjusted

bike has a little over 8k and is due for a major service
i cant wait 2-4 weeks just to get raped by the dealer
and i will be honest i have no mechanical skill

 

sounds like you need to find a friend who does...

and it sounds like you have a fouled plug or 2....

good way to figure out which on it is is to turn the bike on and let it run for a couple of seconds then touch the headers and see which pipe('s) is cold...

 

sounds like typical gsxr 1k blown clutch...

do the rpms rise fast but the bike goes no where?

rpm vrs speed is ok

Get a service manual. Ebay has them cheap.
Go down the check list.
